A Fire Safety Plan (FSP) is a complete and comprehensive OPERATIONS MANUAL for the building and the fire safety equipment, along with FLOOR PLANS (EVACUATION ROUTE DRAWINGS) that are posted in the building showing the locations of fire equipment, stored hazardous materials, and the locations of all the EXITS including ‘Instructions to Occupants’, in cases of emergency.
Fire Prevention: To prevent the incident of fire by the control of fire hazards in the building and the maintenance of the building facilities provided for the safety of the occupants.
Emergency Evacuation: To establish a systematic method of a safe and orderly evacuation of an area or building, by and of its occupants, in case of fire or other emergency.
